Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards 2012

The Young Scot Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of Scotland’s young people, and on Thursday 26th April 2012 over 500 guests will attend the glittering awards ceremony at the Hilton, Glasgow.

Nominations are now open for the Awards, with the final three young people in each category being invited to attend the Awards as a VIP. Nominees must be between 11 and 26 years old and nominations close on 26 February 2012.

Do you know an unsung hero who deserves to be recognised?
Do you know someone who works tirelessly to improve their community and/or country?
Or is there a young person in the public eye that inspires you?

There are 15 awards, from sports to entertainment, unsung hero and volunteering. sportscotland is proud to sponsor the sport category for the third year running and would encourage everyone to nominate a young person they feel has really made a difference to sport in Scotland.

Do you know someone who through their hard efforts and determination has achieved extraordinary sporting achievements?
Or perhaps someone who spends their free time training others in a sport they love?
Who do you think deserves recognition for their dedication to sport?
