sportscotland invest in SALSC

At the Scottish Association of Local Sports Councils (SALSC) Annual Conference at Airth Castle on Saturday 28 February, sportscotland Chair Louise Martin CBE announced annual funding to the organisation.

In making the announcement, she said: “I am encouraged with the progress that SALSC has made recently in moving towards becoming an even more effective organisation and I am delighted to announce that sportscotland is increasing SALSC’s annual funding this year from £24,500 to £42,500.

“This increase will enable consolidation of the full time post of Administration & Policy Director, enhance the support for delivering on sportscotland’s behalf the Local Service to Sport Award for Volunteers, and make a contribution to the operational costs of SALSC.

“There are exciting and challenging times ahead for Scottish sport and we look forward to continuing to work more closely with SALSC on a number of fronts in the future.”
