It’s time again for inspirational individuals across the nation to be recognised at the annual Scottish Sports Awards - so nominate your sporting star!
sportscotland is proud to once again support the awards, which are run by the Sunday Mail and aim to celebrate achievement at all levels in sport, from grassroots participation to elite sport. So if there’s a local person or Club that deserves special recognition, or a world class Scot whose performances have inspired you, nominate them today!
Award categories on the Scottish Sports Awards website include: Local Hero; Inspirational Performance; Young Sports Person of the Year; Sport of the Year; the sportscotland Scottish Sports Personality of the Year and new for 2009, Local Club of the Year. This additional award aims to acknowledge an outstanding amateur club making a real contribution to everyday life in their own community.
The winners of the awards will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony on Thursday 3 December, held at the Hilton Glasgow.
