Out There (2009) is sportscotland’s policy statement document on sport and physical recreation in the outdoors. Out There presents sportscotland’s thinking, aspirations and position on issues considered important and relevant to sport and physical recreation practised in the outdoors.
Out There promotes the need to appreciate and consider sport and recreation interests in the outdoors, and to take a positive approach to their planning, management and provision.
It is hoped that Out There will generate thought and debate, and will inform and encourage sportscotland’s partners’ approach to managing and providing for sport and recreation in Scotland’s outdoors.
