Becoming a Coordinator

If you are thinking of becoming an Active Schools coordinator these are just some of the essential criteria you will be expected to have:

  • a degree
  • extensive experience in engaging with children and young people through sport and physical activity
  • proven project management experience
  • ability to engage work and maintain good relationships with key partners
  • in-depth knowledge and understanding of the aims of the Active Schools Network
  • the ability to monitor and evaluate activities, using both local and national participation data, to produce evidence based planning.

  • establish a successful volunteer recruitment and management programme
  • establish pathways from Active Schools activities into local community sports clubs and groups.
