Active Schools Coordinators (ASN) perform the same role as their counterparts in primary and secondary schools. However they have the added challenge of ensuring that their pupils in mainstream or ASN schools are offered similar opportunities as able bodied children.
Not every local authority in Scotland will have a dedicated Active Schools Coordinator (ASN). Where this is the case, Active Schools Coordinators will cover provision for children with a disability.
