A key element of Active Schools is building links within the wider community to allow pupils to continue developing their sporting experience outside of school. These links come in many forms; negotiating access to facilities, working with transport providers, working in partnership with local authority holiday programmes, working with a governing body to develop a plan for their sport and, most importantly, building links with local sports clubs.
