Sports injury clinic

This service is available to all members of the sporting and exercising community. Some of the practitioners are registered with the National Sports Medicine Institute Register of Sports Care and work with national level sport performers as well as the local sporting communities.

• The Clinic operates on Monday and Thursday evenings from 5.40pm - 8.30pm.
• Appointments can be made between 9.00am and 9.45pm seven days per week.
• Chartered Physiotherapists and Doctors who have specialised in Sports Medicine staff the Clinic.
• Either their own GP or the Clinic doctor should see all patients first (a letter of referral required from own GP).
• The initial appointment for each injury is a double, costing £28 and follow up appointments £14.
• The charge will be made if appointments are not cancelled by 3pm on the day of appointment.
• Other specialists available by appointment include a sports dietician, podiatrist, exercise physiologist, shiatsu masseur.
• The Clinic is not registered with any individual private healthcare company.
• In the event you sustain an injury, the first stage of treatment is to Rest, apply Ice and Compression and Elevate. Then you should Rehabilitate by seeking expert help. RICER.
