Cycling Facilities Fund

With more than 100 EOIs received to date, we have now paused taking in any further EOIs.

For those who have already submitted an EOI, thank you for your interest and for taking the time to submit your proposal to the Cycling Facilities Fund.

Deadlines for submission of full Cycling Facilities Fund applications are 1 April and 1 September 2024.

The Cycling Facilities Fund aims to support cycling facility projects across Scotland and welcomes proposals from all areas through an £8M fund, made possible through a new £4 million commitment from Scottish Government and £4 million from sportscotland through National Lottery funds.

From 3-13 August 2023, the inaugural UCI Cycling World Championships will be hosted in Glasgow and across Scotland. It will be the single biggest cycling event in history, bringing together for the first time 13 existing UCI World Championships into one mega event.

We want to deliver a lasting impact from the 2023 UCI Cycling Worlds by inspiring new and existing cyclists to make cycling a sport for life.

Please read both the Guidelines and Project Considerations prior to submitting a full application in MySport to ensure your group and project fit all the criteria.
