The Young People's Sport Panel

About the YPSP

The Young People’s Sport Panel provides a national platform to represent the diverse voice of young people across Scotland aged 14-23 (at the time of applying)

The panel role lasts for 2 years, with this cohort running from January 2027 to December 2028.

The role of the panel is to help influence and shape the future of sport in Scotland by contributing to sportscotland's outcomes of participate, progress and achieve and to raise the profile of sport. The panel bring their voices and experiences to the development of policies, programmes and projects.

The programme's principle is that young people's views are heard and valued, and they have the opportunity to influence decision making and drive change. Panel members will share their ideas and act as ambassadors for positive change in the Scottish sporting system.

The Young People's Sport Panel is led by sportscotland and supported by Young Scot.

Find out more about the panel below and submit your application by midnight on Sunday 20 September.
