Lacrosse Scotland Digital & Communications Manager (volunteer)

Term: n/a Ongoing Payment: this is a volunteer position and is unpaid
Commitment: 1-2 hours a week, monthly meetings, attendance at AGMs and regular meetings with team members. 
Expenses: expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with the Lacrosse Scotland Expense policy.

Lacrosse has Olympic recognition, and part of our strategic plan is to put in place an ambitious performance programme to increase engagement and participation in the sport across schools and clubs in Scotland, which will, in turn, increase the size and depth of our national training pool.

Responsibilities 

  • Deliver the communications strategy and framework that supports the objectives of the 5 year plan, including D&I goals 
  • Assist in the development of the new business plan which will begin in 2025 
  • Lead and manage a team of communication, marketing and design professionals to assist and deliver all communications material and content, across Lacrosse Scotland’s official website, social media and email, to acquire new fans and players into the sport, recognise and celebrate the success of our elite teams, and to support the growth of the game at grass roots 
  • Continue to roll out the new Lacrosse Scotland tartan branding within our communications channels 
  • Maintain brand integrity across all platforms 
  • Seek to promote the reputation of Lacrosse Scotland at all times, and work with 3rd parties to increase the exposure of the sport 
  • Manage the communications budget and ensure regulatory compliance 
  • Manage media relations and develop contacts with Sport Scotland, sponsors, influencers and community leaders where appropriate 
  • Track engagement across platforms and make data driven decisions
