Pathway Manager (Performance) 

RYA Scotland seeks a committed and skilled individual to lead the development and delivery of our pathway program for sail racing.

What you and the role might look like

RYA Scotland hosts an innovative program of junior and youth training that brings sailors through the performance pathway. This journey should inspire, develop, and challenge the sailors to attain the highest potential they are capable of with the prospect of progression to the British Youth Sailing Team and beyond.

The pathway program is supported by a group of talented and committed race coaches. You will have an extensive knowledge and track record of competitive sailing environments and experience in performance coaching.

You will have an ability to work creatively with our Participation and Development Team and our Coach Education Team to develop innovative approaches to introduce and nurture sailors within the performance pathway.

The performance pathway is also supported by class associations, clubs, and the sportscotland Institute of Sport, therefore you will have the ability and confidence to communicate with a range of stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for the sailors and coaches.

Remuneration and benefits

  • Hybrid working
  • Salary of £34-37,000 dependant on experience, for 35 hours per week
  • Benefits package includes 10% pension contribution and life insurance, free RYA Membership and associated preferential staff discounts.
  • 26 days annual leave plus public holidays.
