Treasurer - Greater Renfrewshire & Clyde Disability Sport

Scottish Disability Sport & the Local Community are currently seeking a Treasurer to assist with the development of the new Greater Renfrewshire & Clyde Disability Sports Branch.

The voluntary position is essential for the development of opportunities in sport & physical activity for people with a disability across Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.

Responsible to:  The GRC Branch Management Committee

Skills and attributes required:     

  • Well organised
  • Able to keep records
  • Confident about handling figures and money
  • Honest
  • Prepared to make a regular time commitment

Main duties:

  1. Responsible for the charities finances
  2. Deal efficiently and effectively with all invoices and bills
  3. Keep up to date records of the financial transitions
  4. Ensure that funds are spent properly 
  5. Issue receipts and record all money received
  6. Attend committee meetings and present the budget report
  7. Prepare the end of year accounts to present to the auditors
  8. In agreement with the committee plan the annual budget
  9. Monitor the budget throughout the year.
  10. Help secure funding to carry on GRC branch activities

Time commitment:

  • Attend branch meetings approximately every 6 weeks
  • Flexible weekly working hours
